Food and friends go hand in hand all the time, but this is especially prominent at sporting events.

The homecoming football concessions stand took it a step further on Thursday night by inviting the Wenatchee High School Key Club and members of the Wenatchee Kiwanis to share in the service of providing food to the Panthers’ supporters.

Freshman Kenya Emerson was one of the volunteers who helped with the service, and described the friendliness of the people she served.

“So many of these people are really friendly,” Emerson said. “They’ll start a conversation with you while you’re working and they’re very kind.”
