Wenatchee High School’s girls wrestling team had a strong season. Kelsey Ibarra, McKayla Cook, Isabella Andreini, Emily Carroll, and Sara Morrow all finished in the top five in their weight class at Warden Sub-Regionals, advancing to Regionals. “Isabella Andreini wrestled really well.” Coach Joe Cordes said. “She’s shown a ton of improvement throughout the season.” At Regionals, Carroll placed third which qualified her for state, where she won her first match. The team as a whole placed 20th. Wenatchee had many strong matches, they placed 4th at the Mountain Madness Tournament as a team. Wenatchee girls wrestling also beat Eisenhower 18-0, respectively. The team hopes to continue to take girls to qualifying tournaments in future seasons.
