Mariachi Huenachi qualified for the semifinal round in Radio Disney’s Music in Our Schools Group Tour contest.

Radio Disney is selecting six musical groups (one from each region in the United States) to receive a visit from the Music in Our Schools Group Tour for their entire school.

The tour includes a concert hosted by an on-air Radio Disney host. The concert will feature an artist from Radio Disney, a Radio Disney “ARDY” Award, and a Give a Note Foundation Grant of $2,500, said Jane Balek, executive director of the Give a Note Foundation. Tour stops are scheduled to take place between Feb. 10 and April 22.

“It’s a big brand,” senior Vianca Guzman said, “we get more exposure. That’s always great.”

The Northwest semifinal contestants are Mariachi Huenachi and Grass Valley Elementary School’s third graders from Camas, WA. You can vote online every day until Dec. 9.
