Panther bowling falls to Ellensburg
November 23, 2016
The Wenatchee High School girls bowling team lost their first match of the season against Ellensburg yesterday at Eastmont Lanes. The game was not a league game and Wenatchee’s undefeated standing in league will remain the same.
Wenatchee lost the first two games, but was able to fight back and win the next two baker games and lost the final game by only 63 pins to lose the match 2-3.
Senior Elisa Macias bowled the highest score for the Panthers by rolling a 124. Head coach Jeff Leavitt said that he put many of the JV girls on varsity for Ellensburg’s match since the outcome would not affect league standings.
“You want to give kids a chance to bowl that aren’t normally in the limelight. This match treated them just like varsity,” Leavitt said.
