The Wenatchee Panthers fell to the Sunnyside Grizzlies 40-7 on Friday, September 23 in the Apple Bowl. Wenatchee had a hard time making stops on defense throughout the night, with the first play of the game resulting in a touchdown for the Grizzlies.

“Last night’s game was frustrating, we executed the run game well but we couldn’t convert in the end zone, JJ. Jelsing played amazing in his first game, but overall we should’ve kept the game a lot closer. Too many big plays for the other team and no red zone conversions for us” said junior varsity football player Riley Kuntz.

Wenatchee will be playing the Post Falls, Idaho Trojans at the Apple bowl on Friday, September 29th to regain their footing in search of a conference title.
