The Wenatchee High School varsity football team suffered a loss on the road in their first game of the season, falling to Southridge, 32-18.
The Panthers entered the second half behind, 23-0. They managed to get on the board with solid performances by seniors Tony Esquivel and Rowan Parmenter, allowing the Panthers to gain momentum, but not quite enough to clinch the win, according to head coach Scott Devereaux.
“[The players] were bummed, but I think they were excited about the way we finished it,” Devereaux said.
