If you live in the Wenatchee Valley and are able to drive a car, at one time or another you’ve probably found yourself driving in town at night. As you pass the dark store fronts on the Ave or the half-lit signs near the bridge, you have probably found yourself asking, “What in the world am I going to do tonight?” As someone who has experienced this dilemma many a time, I’ve done some research, and I’m here to help. Here are a handful of things to do in Wenatchee after 7 p.m.

Go to Target and buy face masks.

Price: $1 – $5

Reason this is fun: Target is open until ten, and if you’ve ever been in Target that late, you know that there’s a certain eeriness. The lights are a little too bright, the music is a little too cheerful and the shoppers eyes are a little too blank. But this is what makes it an adventure! Purchasing the perfect face mask isn’t about the destination, it’s about the journey. Once you’ve acquired the pore-minimizing magic, bring it back to your car or turn any room into a spa.

Go dancing at Pybus.

Price: Free

Reason this is fun: On Thursdays at 7 p.m. you can take swing dancing lessons… and it’s free! I have two left feet, but nothing sounds more fun than learning to swing dance with all my pals in Pybus. Let’s make this a thing!

Harmless pranks.

Price: $5 or less

Reason this is fun: I don’t think I’ve forked anyone’s yard since I was in the seventh grade, but it would probably be more fun now that I can drive a car and make an effective get away. The key to making harmless pranks fun is making sure the person you’re pranking is a good sport. They’re called harmless pranks for a reason!

Visit the arcade at the bowling alley.

Price: $5

Reason this is fun:

I’m horrible at bowling unless I have a Wii remote in my hand, but even if you’re not a bowling fan, Eastmont Lanes still has a lot to offer. Ration your tickets wisely as you can squeeze out at least an hour of fun.

Do the escape room.

Price: $28 per person

Reason this is fun: This takes a little bit of planning and is a bit pricier, but if you’ve thought this through ahead of time then it’s the perfect activity for any group. It’s sort of like the Amazing Race… tensions will be high, challenges will push the limits and friendships may break. Who knows who will come out on the other side?
