Graffiti “regarding a weapon,” and stating a specific date was discovered in the stall of a girls bathroom at Wenatchee High School around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to an email released to WHS staff this morning.

“It was somewhat of a threat,” WHS Principal Eric Anderson said. “It was not specific, there was not a targeted individual… There’s really no way to determine who had written that.”

WHS administration does not believe the threat will be carried out, according to WHS resource officer Brian Miller.

“I don’t believe it’s going to occur,” Miller said. “That being said, anytime a threat occurs, as a police officer I take it very seriously.”

The email to WHS staff also stated that “the situation was investigated and resolved.” According to Miller, the investigation that has occurred has been “very minimal.”

“That investigation was conversations of whether there’s anything we can do at this point in time,”  Anderson said. “We don’t have anything that would lead us to believe that anybody is trying to harm someone here at WHS. We have no idea when it was written.”

According to Miller, no police report has been filed yet. A report is expected to be filed next week.
