All in all, WHS took home six first-place awards – senior Jared Vargas and sophomore Braden Dilly took first in both of their individual races (the 200 individual medley and 100 breast, and the 50 free and 100 free respectively), sophomore Eathyn Geren took first in diving, and the 200 freestyle relay team took first with a team of Vargas, junior Paddy Allen, sophomore Charlie Cutter, and Dilly.

Vargas also received the Swimmer of the Meet award as well as the League Swimmer of the Year award. Additionally, Vargas broke both of the district records in his events, and bettered his school record in the 200 individual medley.

Geren was awarded with Diver of the Year and he broke both the district and school record in diving.

The aforementioned relay team, as well as the 400 freestyle relay team of Vargas, Cutter, senior Jack Van Well, and Dilly, both broke their respective school records, previously set in 2008.

The team is hopeful for several State wildcard allocations, which will be announced on Feb. 14.
