Girls’ Basketball starts season with a “W” over Kennewick, 59-55

The WHS girl’s first game of the season was an intense battle, down to the last minute. The Lady Panthers played the Kennewick Lions on Friday, Dec. 1. They led the first quarter 14-8, but the Lions took it back by the end of the half, with a score of 26-32. The third and fourth quarters were close, leaving 55-55 on the scoreboard and two minutes left on the clock. Wenatchee managed to pull away from Kennewick during the last five minutes of the game, with free throws from Kami Worley and Alli Hallberg.
