Maya Velazquez is a first-year staff reporter for The Apple Leaf and is excited for her senior year. As well as having a passion for writing, she loves Lana Del Rey, coffee, yoga and Spring Lotus’s tofu spring rolls - in that order. Maya has played piano for 10 years, and is working on her Senior Diploma certification this year. Her special talents consist of crossing her eyes and touching her nose with her tongue at the same time.
