On April 17 the WHS girls golf team competed against six other schools at a competition hosted by Sunnyside High School. Wenatchee competed against Davis, Eastmont, Eisenhower, Moses Lake, West Valley and Sunnyside, placing third overall behind Eastmont and Davis with 453 points. Taylor Takasugi scored 90, Ashley Turner scored 107, Jenna Osborn scored 126, Julia Neff scored 130 and Emily Aumell scored 131. Both Takasugi and Turner were in the top five individuals of the meet.

The competition didn’t go quite as well for other members of the WHS team. “I played terrible, it smelled like cow poop and I forgot my glasses,” said Aumell after the game.

The WHS girls golf team competes again on April 19 at Gamble Sands against 20 opposing teams.
