Dumbledore’s Army reads to succeed

The freshman Battle of the Books team, “Dumbledore’s Army,” consisting of Tory Gerhardt, Natalia Guillen, Sylvia Hwang, Bekah Christensen, and Jordan Martinez won $100 gift cards for Amazon products after securing a first-place finish at the second annual Battle of the Books competition this morning.
16 teams entered, but nine did not make the point cut-off of fifteen points to be admitted into the second round. The final three teams with the highest point total squared off with each other, with DA coming out victorious.
