Eastmont pulls off narrow victory in the Battle of the Bridges

October 12, 2015

The annual “Battle of the Bridges” game between Wenatchee High School and Eastmont last Friday ended in a crippling defeat for WHS, with the Wildcats racking up a total of 14 points to the Panthers’ 9.

Fans of both teams packed the stands, and Wenatchee supporters left the Apple Bowl disappointed, but not completely defeated. Head football Coach Scott Devereaux expressed that although the Panthers lost, they played hard, and are looking forward, past the game and into the rest of their season.

“Our goal is to win the next three games,” Devereaux said. “This could get us second in the playoffs.”
