Four Wenatchee High School girl golfers qualify to State.

On Monday, four members of the Wenatchee High School girls golf team qualified for the State Tournament, led by sophomore Taylor Takasugi, who took second place at the District Championships at Three Lakes Golf Course.

Takasugi and senior Kadi Freund tied for second place with identical 84s. They played a playoff hole, which Takasugi won by getting a birdie on the 13th hole, which is the second most difficult hole at Three Lakes.

Freund took third place, senior Ali Brandt shot an 88 and took fourth place, and senior Courtney Merrill shot a 98 and took fifth place.

The four WHS players advance to the State Tournament on May 24-25 at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.
