PHOTOS: Homecoming Assembly and Parade

All the girls who participated in the senior class dance kneel and follow moves led by the leaders of the dance, seniors Maya Aguigui, Daniela Turner, and Sadie Harmon during the Homecoming assembly Oct. 24.

On Friday, Oct. 24, in celebration of Homecoming, students and clubs marched down Millerdale and Cherry streets, with the floats and signs they crafted, to the assembly at the Apple Bowl. Pioneer Middle School lined the parade route to watch 24 WHS clubs and activities pass by. The City of Wenatchee and Wenatchee Police Department assisted the WHS Associated Student Body with securing a safe parade route.

At the Apple Bowl, students participated and enjoyed the Homecoming Assembly, complete with class dances, royalty interviews, and comedic hosts.

The senior dance was selected as the winning performance with the staff as runnersup. Instead of a dance, the freshman class conducted a fundraiser for Seattle Children’s Hospital, to benefit Makenna Schwab’s Make A Difference Day project. In the course of one week, students raised $630.36, which Schwab put towards her toy drive for Children’s Hospital.

The annual Homecoming Assembly at the Apple Bowl had great weather, despite early forecasts indicating rain.
