Janice Franz raises record-breaking funds

February 23, 2017

The Janice Franz talent show raised over $28,000 this year, more than any year to date. Over the past 20 years, the show has collectively raised more than $250,000 for local members of the community.

Senior ASB president Rowan Parmenter said that this year’s beneficiary, Wendy Skalisky, absolutely loved every aspect of the show and appreciated the support.

Parmenter credits this year’s success to the new competition aspect of the show which encouraged audience members to attend all three nights of the show and allowed more acts to perform.

“We’ll continue to get more community acts and business sponsors. That community outreach brings in a lot of money before the performance nights,” Parmenter said. “[ASB] has a lot of good things to build on for future success.”
