Knowledge Bowl teams beats Ephrata in competition
The Wenatchee High School Knowledge Bowl teams brought home a big win from a competition in Ephrata on Monday.
Nearly 30 teams from across the state competed at Ephrata High School. The WHS team went head-to-head with Moses Lake in two rounds of the competition, tying them for the first time this season. The winning Wenatchee
team (junior Hendrik Keyser, and seniors Charles Marshall and John Kottkamp) took first place in two of their rounds, and second place in their third and final round. Each team completes three rounds against two teams, competing against a total of six teams in the competition.
“None of the other competing teams won first place in all three rounds,” said Chris Cloke, Knowledge Bowl adviser. “It was a really good day for them.”
The Knowledge Bowl team will also compete in the Regional competition, which will take place at WHS on Monday, Feb. 22.
