New security monitors installed in hallways
At the beginning of last year, Wenatchee High School took on the task of updating their security.
Eleven new video cameras and three new security monitors have been installed since then.
The installment cost of these security additions cost around $7,000, with the Learning Improvement Team funding one of the monitors, according to the new WHS principal, Eric Anderson.
Anderson hopes that these precautions will help make WHS a safer learning environment.
“We care about safety, obviously,” Anderson said. “Before, some of our cameras were aging, and…we realized we had to add some [new security cameras] and we need to replace some of our older cameras that weren’t working real well.”
