Pep assembly rallies student body against Wildcats and cancer

Students rallied together in support of both the varsity football team and local middle schooler Sam Dorey in today’s pep assembly in the Wenatchee High School gym.
While the assembly was held to hype up students before the “Battle of the Bridges,” football game tonight, the proceedings took a somber note when P.E. teacher Shelly Jelsing spoke of Dorey’s struggle with cancer. Jelsing recorded the student body performing a custom cheer to support Dorey.
