PHOTOS: Hairspray hits the stage with eight performances on schedule

The Wenatchee High School Choral Department takes the stage tonight for the current generation’s version of Grease — Hairspray! The Broadway Musical, directed by Paul Atwood with music direction by Dawn McCormick.
Cast and crew members have been working long hours since the second week of school to prepare for opening night. The cast includes nearly 80 students, and the pit orchestra is made up of almost all jazz band students.
The curtain rises at 7:30 p.m. and shows continue through this weekend, and begin again next Thursday for the weekend. Matinees will be held on both Saturdays at 2 p.m.
