School board election results due Nov. 26
Robert W. Sealby and Jennifer Talbot lead the Wenatchee School Board race, but the results are still too close to call. Updated results were released on Nov. 8, but the outcome will not be official until Nov. 26.
Wenatchee School Board Position 4 is led by Sealby with 50.28 percent of the 7,959 votes counted. The incumbent seat holder Gary Callison is close behind with 49.72 percent.
Talbot leads the Position 5 race with 53.08 percent of 8,485 votes counted. Ryan Kelso follows with 46.92 percent of the total vote.
Talbot is new to the process of a race of this scale. “It’s my first time running for such a big position,” she said. “I see this as a good opportunity for both myself and the Wenatchee Valley.”
“The election is almost complete. Last I checked, there were seven votes left in the [Chelan County] Elections Office,” said Sealby. “They’ll verify the vote as final on Nov. 26, then the winner will be sworn into their position the next day.”
