Soccer season ceases in the first round of state playoffs
The Wenatchee High School girls soccer team’s journey in the State playoffs ended Tuesday in a 4-0 first-round loss to Bellarmine Prep at Mount Tahoma High School.
The Panthers were able to get few shots on goal against a tough Bellarmine Prep defense.
The Panthers finished the season 13-5 overall and 10-2 in league, only losing to West Valley twice.
“We had a really good season and it helped that we knew each other really well,” Sophomore Erin Aamold said.
The Panthers broke the record for the most team wins in a season, 13, and many individual records were broken, including Allie Flynn who set the new record for most goals in a season with 18 goals.
