Emma Colyar is a sophomore at Wenatchee High School and this is her first year as a reporter for the Apple Leaf. Outside of work and school, she has an uncanny obsession with the gym, night-drives, thunderstorms, and dogs. She spends most of (or all of) her free time biking, playing basketball, in the gym, or with her friends. In the summer, Emma also loves to go cliff jumping, hiking, boating, and tubing (bonus points if a brother falls off in the process.) She is also low-key addicted to music and has eighteen totally different playlists, and enjoys making her own on the piano or guitar whenever possible. Currently, her favorite song is “Motto” by NF, but chances are she will be tired of it after a couple hundred too many replays, and will probably have a new one by the end of the month. On a more formal note, she works as an intern for the Tech Changemaker’s program; the goal being to help bridge the digital divide between generations, providing adults with technical resources that will better equip them in the workforce.
