Volleyball team sets sights for State
The Wenatchee High School volleyball team finished up its league play last Thursday, with a dominating 3-0 victory over Moses Lake.
Holding a league record of 7-5 and an overall record of 8-6, the Panthers have earned a berth for a play-in game for the district championship. The Panthers will qualify for State if they can beat Moses Lake tonight, and win two other games on Saturday.
“We’re playing really well together, we have that connection now and there’s no stopping us. I think we have such a good chance at going to state,” senior Linley Wise said. “I’m really excited to see how far we can go, I believe we have the willpower and skills to do so.”
The Panthers will battle it out in the WHS gym tonight at 7 p.m. against Moses Lake. The winner will move on to the district semifinals on Saturday. The game will take place at 2 p.m. against the winner of another play-in game between Eastmont and Davis.
