After competing at their state competition in Bellevue, WA, 4 of the 16 students competing for the Wenatchee High School FBLA chapter recently advanced to nationals after competing at their state competition in Bellevue, WA on April 4-7.

To qualify for nationals, students had to place in the top four. Four Wenatchee students qualified. Simone Crane took second place in Marketing, and Ethan Harris took third in impromptu speaking. They also had two teams qualify; the team of Colin Snyder and Layne Knipfer, who took fourth in management decision making, and the team of Maegen Delvo and Celia Gale, who took fifth in management decision making.

FBLA, or Future Business Leaders of America, is business organization that prepares students for success as leaders in business, government, and communities. During their competition, each student chose an event specific to a certain area of business, such as marketing or finances, and competed against schools in North Central Washington.

These students will get a chance to compete at the FBLA nationals competition on June 28th through July 1st. The team will fly to Baltimore, Maryland, where the national competition will be held.
