Wenatchee seniors sign to college athletic commitments

April 21, 2017

Five Wenatchee High School seniors that will be on college athletic commitments next year came together on April 19 at WHS to discuss their futures and celebrate their hard work in their respective sports.

The five seniors honored were Isabelle Dressel and Jessica Wierzbicki from girls swim and dive, Sophia Garrison and Alyssa Mobley from girls soccer, and Luke Worley from boys basketball. They will be attending Brown University, the United States Air Force Academy, Walla Walla Community College, Warner Pacific College, and Pacific Lutheran University respectively.

“This is a culmination of the hard work of all five of these kids, and a celebration for all of the parents and the others in life that have gotten them this far,” athletic director James Besson said. Beeson presided over the event and introduced each of the seniors.

Each senior gave a brief summary of what they plan on doing in colleges, followed by a signing of a paper that committed the athlete to further their efforts in academics and athletics.
