Wenatchee trumps Wildcats in Battle of the Bridges
October 28, 2016
Wenatchee came out victorious during tonight’s annual Battle of the Bridges game at Eastmont with a close score of 17-14.
The Panthers were in the lead in the first half 3-0, with the only points coming from a field goal kicked by senior Tony Esquivel. Wenatchee and Eastmont battled for the lead in the second half of the game, and won due to two touchdowns catches thrown by junior Austin Blakney and caught seniors Paddy Allen and David Snyder.
“I’m pleased with the effort they gave, and our defense did really well,” Wenatchee head coach Scott Devereaux said. “Our goal is to get better every week- that’s what what we always do.”
Wenatchee will play their final game of the season on Friday, Nov. 4 at home against West Valley.
