WHS varsity baseball wins Big Nine championship
The Wenatchee High School varsity baseball team won the Big Nine Conference championship in their game against Davis High on May 3. The final score was 4-0, holding up Wenatchee’s undefeated record of 18-0.
“I think [the current scores] are a good reward for all the hard work that everyone on the team has put in. And it’s satisfying because as a team we are so close,” senior utility player Trent Tompkins said.
Their next game, and final league game, will be at Davis on May 6, followed by the beginning of District playoff games on May 14 at Wenatchee’s Recreation Park.
