Erin Higley is a senior co-captain of the girls swim team. Higley has been swimming competitively for 12 years, and has competed all four years for the Panthers. Higley’s favorite races are the 100 breaststroke and the 200 individual medley. “She’s a good captain because she is responsible, a really nice person, and really good at breaststroke!” freshman teammate Hannah VanHeyningen said.

Raquel Thody is a senior co-captain of the girls cross country team. Thody has been running cross country since eighth grade, including the last four years on varsity in high school. She likes running because it is easy to get into and very straight forward. “She is always really positive,” sophomore teammate Cameron Wood said. “I think this is really good since running requires a lot of motivation, and she provides that.”

Austin Lane, a senior co-captain of the boys cross country team, has been running cross country since seventh grade. Lane has ran varsity for the Panthers throughout high school, and says his main motivator is his father, who he says pushes him to do his best. “He’s funny and is fun to be around,” junior teammate Carson Dillard said. “His attitude is great.”

Cole Christman is a senior co-captain of the boys cross country team. Christman got started running in second grade, and has ran ever since. He cross country ski races, and uses cross country running as a way to keep in shape. “Cole is a strong runner,” junior Jack Gavin said. “He is so good at what he does, and is super nice and approachable.”

Anna Crail is a senior co-captain of the girls volleyball team. She has been playing volleyball since sixth grade, and is a defensive specialist. She is excited for this season because the team is both strong and works together very well. “Anna focuses everybody and keeps them included,” junior Riley Brown said. “She doesn’t get overly upset if someone messes up.”

Lauren Kaech, a senior co-captain of the girls’ volleyball team, has been playing volleyball for six years. Her position is right side, and she likes volleyball because it is a team sport and you have to work together to achieve a goal. “She is a leader of the team,” senior Kendall Still said. “She plays the game and knows it well, and takes care of us.”
