Debate takes down competition at Pasco tournament

Wenatchee Speech and Debate pulled off another win on Saturday in Pasco. For individual events Wenatchee was named the top school for small squads, bringing in 13 trophies in total, six first places, two second places and five third places.

  • Senior Vivian Noyd got first place in Open Extemporaneous, Open Original Oratory Speaking, Open Congressional Debate and placed second in Open Impromptu Speaking.
  • Sophomore Ethan Harris placed first in Novice Public Forum and in Open Expository Speaking, second in Open Editorial Commentary and third in Open Ed Com.
  • Sophomore Adamari Hernandez placed first in Novice Public Forum and third in Novice Interpretive Reading.
  • Sophomore Xochilth Ortega placed first in Novice Ed Command and second in Novice Interpretive.
  • Sophomore Cassandra Noyd placed third in Open Congressional Debate.
  • Emilee Groth placed third in Novice Expos.
