Girls golf makes finals at State

Sophomore Taylor Takasugi swung her way into the final round of the State golf competition on May 24-25 with a score of 81, the only Wenatchee player to advance past the first round.

Five golfers from Wenatchee High School attended the competition. The meet took place in Pasco at the Sun Willows Golf Course.

Takasugi placed 30th with a score of 82 after the first round.

Other members of girls golf in attendance at the meet were seniors Kadi Freud, Ali Brandt and Courtney Merrill, who posted scores of 87, 91 and 104, respectively.

Junior Nick Beeson also played at State as the only male golfer from Wenatchee and posted a score of 90.
