Wenatchee High School welcomes three hockey players for the 2014-15 school year. The players are all seniors this year: Forbes Ploszaj, Stevie Bryant, and Donovan Ott. The players are from Gilbert, Ariz., Edmonds, Wa., and Lebanon, Pa. All three seniors will live with host families all year long. They are from Arizona, Washington, and Pennsylvania.

“I love it here. I like the people and the scenery, there’s a lot to do.” Ott said. Ott is a forward and right wing on the team“ I enjoy hanging with the guys (on the team), eating, sleeping, and working out in my free time.”

“I’ve been playing since I was three. I started playing because my dad owned a professional team,” Ploszaj, the main goalie, said. “I have moved around 10 different times and has gone to seven different high schools.”

The team also has players that attend Eastmont High School. All other players have graduated from high school. The team isn’t just from all around the country; they also have players from Russia, Sweden, and Denmark.

The coach of the Wenatchee Wild is Bliss Littler. He is assisted by Chris Clark and Tom Rudrud.
