Panther Dancing with the Stars shimmies the audience

Dancing with the Stars judges Moser, Lasater, and Schafer-Cloke wave goodbye to the students at the end of the show. This was their first appearance on a high school television show.

Wenatchee High School watched a pep rally today with a twist. Wenatchee Mayor Frank Kuntz joined junior Maya Aguigui on Dancing with the Stars: Panther Edition. Drama Director Paul Atwood and Choir Director Dawn McCormick also took the stage, with sophomore Kori Martin and junior Jace Pauly, respectively. Dancers were judged by Assistant Principal Donna Moser, science teacher Michael Lasater, and English teacher Danielle Schafer-Cloke.

The spring sports pep assembly also featured the Panther Dancers, spring sports teams, Knowledge Bowl participants, a small segment from Honor Society, and a song from ASB President Drake Holliday. Students also used the hashtag PantherDWTS to join the conversation on social media.

Atwood and Martin won the dancing competition, announced this afternoon by Moser. It was the first ever Dancing with the Stars: Panther Edition.
