Senior takes top honor at Debate Tournament

Senior Vivian Noyd

Wenatchee’s Speech and Debate team made waves when senior Vivian Noyd won the Thomas S. Foley Speaker award. The Thomas S. Foley Memorial Forensics Tournament took place over the course of three days, Feb 2-4, in Spokane.

  • Vivian Noyd won the 2017 Thomas S. Foley Speaker’s Award, first place in Oratorical Analysis, John D Clark Legal Argument,  Open Parliamentary Debate Speaker, Open Extemporaneous Speaking, second place in Champion Division Congress and third place in Place Open Impromptu Speaking
  • Ethan Harris placed fourth in Open Public Forum Speaker, After Dinner Speaking, seventh place in Open Public Forum and eighth place in Open Editorial Commentary.
  • Adamari Hernandez placed third in Open Editorial Commentary, fourth place in Open Editorial Commentary and seventh place in Open Public Forum.
  • Sebastian Pasion placed third in Parliamentary Debate and eighth place in Open Parliamentary Debate Speaker.
  • Kenya Emerson placed fourth in Novice Public Forum Speaker.
  • Cheyenne McKee placed fifth in Novice Public Forum Speaker.
