Bethany Symonds, Staff Reporter
Bethany is a first-year Staff Reporter for The Apple Leaf. Bethany chose to be a reporter for The Apple Leaf because she had heard how fun the class and the staff was, and she wanted to do something brand new for her senior year.
In her spare time, Bethany enjoys bowling, horseback riding, and being a part of the Wenatchee FFA chapter. Bethany is a three-year varsity member of the WHS bowling team, two-time district champion, and the third place bowler at State for her junior season. Bethany is an active member of the Wenatchee FFA, of which she is the President for the 2014-15 year.
Of all of Bethany’s activities, her favorite is spending time with her horses! Bethany has three horses, a miniature horse gelding named Magic, a miniature horse mare named Saphira, and a quarter horse/saddlebred gelding named Joe. Bethany participates in driving and in-hand classes with the high school equestrian team with Magic and Saphira, where she has won multiple district awards. She also competes in cattle and gaming events with Joe.
After high-school, Bethany would like to go to a college where she can continue her bowling career along with studying veterinary medicine. Bethany hopes to one day be a large animal veterinarian in Montana, where she can can spend her time in the open country!
