Union negotiators enter the district office for the contract negotiation session

Teachers rally in front of district office in support of teacher union negotiators

August 27, 2015

Today, teachers gathered outside the school district office, all dressed in red Wenatchee Education Association (WenEA) shirts to show solidarity and to support the union negotiators entering contract negotiations.

The negotiation session will be the last of it’s kind until the union’s contract expires. If a settlement is not reached, teachers will meet Monday, Aug. 31 and discuss their options for going forward. The team is headed by WenEA Lead Negotiator Chris Cloke

“Being here today is about supporting our bargaining team,” WenEA President Kris Cameron said. “I have high hopes that both sides will come to an agreement today.”
