The 20/20 Experience: album review 5/5 pumpkins
The 20/20 Experience — 2/2, an album following the traditional style of artist Justin Timberlake, offers the same rock/pop sound as previous albums with an interesting change of tempo at the end of most of the songs.
Timberlake’s new album is one of those albums that play in your head while you walk in slow motion down the avenue on a Friday night. The 20/20 Experience — 2/2 consistently surprises the listener with a change of tempo every once and awhile that keeps you hooked on the song until the very end. The highlight of the album is definitely the song “Murder.” This song is one of the most upbeat songs off the album, making it my personal favorite.
For those of you who don’t like the typical pop/rap songs, this is the album for you. Make sure you have time to listen to the whole album, because once you start, you won’t be able to stop. The album has been split into two parts. However, the 2/2 album is definitely the stronger album of the two. Another soon to be hit from this album has to be “TKO.” “TKO” has a constant addicting tempo that you won’t be able to get enough of. Timberlake makes a strugglesome love song sound like the time of his life.
The 20/20 Experience — 2/2 is going to not only be the album of the year, but could also be the best album of Timberlake’s career, with a rating of 8.4 from Pitchfork.com after it’s first week of being out.
