Wenatchee bowling narrowly tops West Valley

The Wenatchee High School bowling team defeated West Valley by a narrow 44-pin margin, racking up its highest pin count all season in yesterday’s match at Eastmont Lanes. The final score was 3-2.

The Panthers finished the first game behind West Valley by 38 pins but fought back to lead by 31 pins after the second the game. Wenatchee and West Valley took a Baker game apiece, and the Panthers ended up claiming the victory by pin count. Wenatchee won 2010-1966.

Senior Delaney Yant rolled the highest games of the day with scores of 211 and 202. Sophomores Jessica Holbrook and Emilee Groth also rolled high scores with games of 183 and 177.

Wenatchee’s next game is against Eastmont at Eastmont Lanes on Jan. 10.
