Wenatchee falls short of state berth

Wenatchee dominated Eisenhower in three sets on Saturday, before falling in a hard-fought showdown against Eastmont.

The Wenatchee girls lost 2-3, ending their state playoff hopes. The Wildcats initially trailed 2-1 in the contest, but bounced back to win it all.

Wenatchee gained the lead with a 25-19 win the first set. Eastmont bounced back with a 25-22 win, but the Panthers fought to regain the lead with a  25-21 victory. The Wildcats fought back with a pair of close wins to secure the contest.
