Wenatchee soccer tops Eisenhower

The Wenatchee High School boys varsity soccer team dominated their District 6 4A contest against Eisenhower on Tuesday, May 9, 3-0.

The three goals were scored by senior Matt Springer, and juniors Daniel Reyes and Orlando Howe. Springer’s goal was a flip throw that soared through the goalkeeper’s hands. Reyes’ goal came from about 25 yards from the goal, bringing the score to 2-0. The final goal from Howe came in the last 8 minutes. Junior Alexis Calderilla curtailed the Cadets’ scoring opportunities.

The upcoming game on Tuesday, May 16 will be at home, and the opponent is still undecided. The four other teams, Decatur, Battle Ground, Auburn Mountainview, and Tahoma, will play on Thursday, May 11, and the winners will move on to play Saturday. The loser of that game will play Wenatchee on Tuesday.
