WHS students gather for a leadership training to prepare for freshman orientation

Entering high school for the first time can be difficult and awkward for most students. This year, however, a dedicated team of student leaders are determined to make the transition from middle school to high school a smooth one.

Yesterday, 105 students gathered in the WHS auxiliary gym for leadership training session to prepare for the Freshman Orientation day, taking place Monday, Aug. 31. from 8 a.m. to noon. The session was lead by freshman IGNITE adviser Molly Butler

“The main goal [was] to teach young leaders how to make high school a positive and memorable experience for new students,” Butler said.
