The Wenatchee High School Music Department will hold its Winter Concert on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. It will take place in the WHS auditorium, encompassing many choirs, multiple orchestras, and the Golden Apple Band. This is the only concert of the year featuring all three music groups at once.

After the Vocal Jazz Ensemble welcomes the audience with multiple arrangements, the concert will include six other choir groups. Performing will be the FourTune Hunters, Bel Canto, Treble/Bass Clef Singers, Advanced Women’s Choir, Hytones, and Chamber Singers.

After a successful field show season, this is the GA Band’s first appearance playing concert music this year. They will be playing O Holy Night and Sleigh Ride. Other groups involving the band will be the Wind Ensemble and the Jazz Ensemble.

Intermixed throughout the concert will be pieces performed by three different orchestra groups from WHS. These include the Cello and Bass Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra.

This Concert is the Music Department’s longest performance of the year.
