Anderson confirmed as WHS principal

The Wenatchee School Board confirmed Eric Anderson as the next Wenatchee High School principal at its regular meeting Tuesday night. Anderson’s contract with the district will begin July 1.

He will move to Wenatchee with his wife and three daughters, according to a press release issued Monday by Wenatchee School District. Anderson has not returned an email request for comment.


Charles Francis Adams (Clarkston) High School Principal Eric Anderson will be recommended to the Wenatchee School Board to become the next principal at Wenatchee High School. Wenatchee School District Superintendent Brian Flones announced today that he has recommended Anderson to the board, which will act on the recommendation at tomorrow night’s school board meeting.

Anderson has been principal in Clarkston for four years. Prior, he served as a principal assistant at Rogers High School in Spokane. He was selected out of 10 candidates who applied for the WHS position.

“I am excited for this opportunity and looking forward to being part of the team,” Anderson said in a written statement from Wenatchee School District.

If approved by the school board, Anderson will begin July 1 as principal.

Tonasket Middle School Principal Jay Tyus and South Kitsap High School Principal Jerry Holsten were the other two finalists for the WHS position.

Anderson earned a BA in Finance and Economics, a BA in Business Education, and a master’s degree in School Administration at Eastern Washington University.

In May 2014, Charles Francis Adams High School had 730 students, compared to WHS’s 2,009 students.

Current Principal Bob Celebrezze begins a new career as principal at Clovis Point Intermediate School in the Eastmont School District July 1.

The school board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday night at the District Office, located at 235 Sunset Ave. in Wenatchee.
