Noyd won first place in Extemporaneous Speaking, and second in Original Oratory. Davis will represent Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho in Humorous Interpretation.

Davison has been the captain of Wenatchee High’s Speech and Debate team for the past three years, helping her to gain four varsity letters in as many years, and become an outstanding student in DECA and the Running Start program.

Noyd has earned over 35 individual awards this year, including qualifying for the state championship speech and debate tournament. She is also heavily involved in many academic activities.

On Feb. 20, the team also received a second place team trophy for speech events at the Inland Empire District national qualifier tournament in Spokane, where WHS received a Leader Chapter Award for producing the most national qualifiers from the Inland Empire District in the last 20 years.
