Assistant director of Special Programs chosen for next year

The incoming class of the 2016-17 school year will not be entirely alone in passing through the big double-doors of Wenatchee High School this September. Cynthia Valdez will be assuming the role of Assistant Director of Special Programs, reporting to Bill Eagle, and Jacob Bucholz will be joining the Administrative team as the new Dean of Students.

Valdez has worked in the Wenatchee School District for six years, serving students as the coordinator of Migrant, Bilingual, and Title programs. In 1992, she earned her teaching certificate with endorsements for K-8, Reading, and ESL, as well as her Principal Certificate at Eastern Washington University in 1996. She has worked as a program administrator, elementary principal, and assistant middle school principal.

Bucholz has been working with students in Wenatchee for 12 years, teaching science, technology, and AVID at Orchard Middle School, and is currently serving as assistant principal for Columbia and Lincoln elementary schools.
