Wenatchee’s annual Apple Blossom Festival is back and supporting a production of Monty Python’s Spamalot the musical, Apple Blossom edition. The show will be open to audiences on April 30, and wrap up on May 16.

Spamalot is based off of the production of the Broadway play Monty Python and the Holy Grail, according to Apple Blossom’s website bio on the play. The show focuses on old, infamous legends of King Arthur and his trusty Knights of the Round Table. Providing the audience with many laughs and a good tale, the Broadway performance has won numerous awards and “Best Musical” at the Tony Awards.

Eloise Sheets, a freshman at Wenatchee High School, is a part of the ensemble. “Most of [the cast] was in the last play I did, so we have a lot of inside jokes,” Sheets said. “[The play] is fun, so much fun.”

The main characters of the play — as well as their stage names — are as follows: King Arthur (Dave Williams), Patsy (Marlon Browne), Sir Robin (Kevin McKee), Lancelot (Rob Spradlin), Sir Galahad (Matt Cadman), Sir Bedevere (Brad Behrens), Not So Dead Fred (Cody Gillin), and Lady of the Lake (Nancy Zahn).

“Its a laugh-out-loud comedy,” Paul Atwood, Wenatchee High School’s Drama adviser and director of Spamalot, said. “Perfect for the whole family.”

This musical will be offering matinee and evening shows. Tickets went on sale April 6. Tickets can be purchased at the Numerica Performing Arts Center box office.
