The walk’s purpose is to encourage others to “be the light” for those who may be affected by suicide or struggling with depression.

WHS staff, school clubs (INSPIRE, RAK, Interact, Honor Society, and ASB) are hosting this event to create an atmosphere of care and support for suicide and depression awareness. T-shirts will be available at the event and were donated by Community Valley Community Health, Confluence Health and INSPIRE club.

All participants will walk together until 6 p.m., at which point participants can move to the Apple Bowl together for the home varsity football game, where an announcement will be made about Be The Light.
