  • Guacamole accounts for 8 million pounds of avocados.
  • NBC’s broadcast of last year’s Super Bowl was the most watched program in American television history, surpassing the previous year’s game. The game was seen by an average of 114.4 million viewers, and peaking to 120.8 million during New England’s fourth-quarter comeback.
  • Super Bowl games account for the 21 most-watched programs in American TV history.
  • Fans eat more than 1.23 billion chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday which adds up to more than 100 million pounds of chicken.
