The Seattle Seahawks are world champions once again. A rematch of Super Bowl 49, the Seahawks and Patriots faced off in Santa Clara, California with a cool breeze blowing through the stadium.

After defeating the Denver Broncos, the Patriots saw a major change of scenery at the Super Bowl but even with the good conditions, the Patriots’ offense still struggled.

The Patriots had only 51 yards from scrimmage entering halftime down 9-0. The Seahawks didn’t put on a show offensively either. With only 183 yards from scrimmage but only nine points to show for it.

The second half would go on to bring more action. The first touchdown of Super Bowl LX was a 16 yard pass from Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold to tight end AJ Barner. With this score, the Seahawks went up 19-0 with 11 minutes and 24 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

The Patriots would put an effort in to come back against the Seahawks in the fourth quarter with a 35 yard touchdown pass from Patriots quarterback Drake Maye to wide receiver Mack Hollins. The comeback, however, was stifled by an interception returned for a touchdown thrown by Drake Maye to defensive lineman Uchena Nwosu.

The final score of the game was 29-13 with the Seahawks and once disgraced, (and now redeemed) quarterback Sam Darnold taking home the franchise’s second Lombardi trophy. The league’s offensive player of the year was made essentially a non-factor against the Patriots with cornerback Christian Gonzalez guarding him and left the game for a period due to possible concussion.

The Seahawks have a good amount of cap room and will look to repeat their amazing season along with their standout wide receiver Jaxsen Smith-Njigba and the newly established top “Dark Side” defense.
